This might surprise you.
But what I do isn’t all about the scales showing a lower number.
And although many of you may come to me for that, 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞.
In the picture is a screenshot of a message I received from a client.
Like the majority, she came to me to shift some fluff and, as is a common occurrence, mentioned the medical conditions she had going on.
Now I’m not a doctor.
And I’m not an expert in the medical field.
But I am a “health coach”.
I go by the job title of “Personal Trainer”, sure.
But my qualifications and experience go a lot further than that.
Because for some of my clients, my job goes deeper than simply showing you how to do squats and telling you to do burpees.
I help clients...
Reduce high blood pressure
Ease achy joints and bad backs
Manage, prevent and in some cases improve diabetes
Prevent pre-diabetes from becoming diabetes
Lower cholesterol levels
Improve their mental health
Lose weight in the case of obesity…
And when it comes to addressing any of those, as well as getting fitter and stronger, and losing some weight.
You cannot go wrong by making improvements to your diet and moving a bit more. But these need to be done in a safe way, specific to you and in a way that fits your lifestyle.
Because leading a good lifestyle can counter all of the above.
Help treat them if you’ve already got them.
And prevent them if you’re currently all good.
Because this goes further than simply about looking good.
It’s about improving your health overall.
Both mental and physical.
And it’s why I do this job.
