My top tip for weight loss in 2022

It doesn’t really matter if you’re currently on a mission or not to get fitter and healthier.

The one thing we should ALL be doing, is drinking at least two to three litres of water a day.

For general health reasons, we’re looking at:

  • Moisturised and vibrant skin – look younger!

  • More energy and alertness

  • Less irritability and brain fog

And if you are trying to shift fluff, it’s the first thing you want to concentrate on and be consistent with, every day.

That's because:

  • We often think that we’re hungry, when in fact we’re thirsty, so eat unnecessary calories

  • When dehydrated, we start suffering brain fog, leading to less-than-ideal food choices

  • If our stomachs are full of water, we’re less likely to become hungry and snack unnecessarily

  • The healthier we feel through hydration, the more likely we are to stick to the plan

If you find it hard to get in this amount of water each day, there are a couple of things to try.

  1. Get a 2-litre bottle of water and keep it by your side, drinking from it regularly throughout the day. If you find yourself becoming hungry before your next mealtime, then have a good old chug of it and see how you feel a few minutes later. Set a timer on your phone. If you’re someone who’s learnt how to ignore thirst cues, you may need a reminder!

  2. Make it a habit to have a glass of water before every meal. Not only are you more likely to eat less, but you’ll be well on your way to hitting those 2 litres each day. If you don’t like plain water, you can add a sugar free mixer to it. Tea and decaf coffee also count, but coffee and caffeinated drinks don’t, because caffeine is a diuretic (makes you pee!)

However you do it, just aim for those two to three litres per day… without fail!

I can honestly say that people who don’t maintain adequate hydration, are those who struggle the most.

If you haven’t got this one nailed down already, then it should be the top one to concentrate on, before adding anything else to the mix.

There are tons of things that will help guarantee your weight loss. Some of which you may not even be aware. I know I was shocked when they were pointed out to me.

Over the coming weeks I'll be blogging more about these and the other things I help people with as a Personal Trainer. There's quite a lot more to it than a meal plan (which I don't write for you anyway, because it teaches you nothing!) and checking your form.

So keep your eyes peeled on your email or, if you want to get all the info and support from the off and get started straight away, then just book in for a consultation call. It really is the easiest way if you're at the point where you're ready to make a change.

Your personal trainer (the last you'll ever need),

Your results are guaranteed. Just follow the nutrition advice, come to you your PT sessions on Zoom (if included in you package), check-in weekly and book your nutrition calls. That's all that's to it! If you do that and still don't get results, then I will work with you for free until you do.
